Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo Two-Faced. Can’t keep their stories straight.

FACE ONE: January 2021, Wells announces they will stop servicing clients outside of the US. “Wells Fargo is focused on managing risk, and simplifying operations across the company.” “We are committed to focusing on our core business, which is serving clients who reside in the U.S.”

FACE TWO: Wells Fargo is stepping up efforts offshoring workers outside of the US, giving them full access to all systems and sensitive customer information.

  1. How is offshoring to countries, which do not follow US laws and customs, managing risk and simplifying operations?
  1. Apparently, we are committed to servicing clients in the US with workers outside of the US.

This is just one of the many ways WFC is dishonest and misleads the public. I would love for a major news source do an in-depth investigative article on Wells Fargo and expose them on a multitude of topics.

OP what are these two facts? You are not making sense.

OP here: Cleaning some points up:

The title of the post is Wells Fargo is two-FACED. It is not fact one and fact two. It is FACE one and FACE two.

FACE one consists of two public direct quotes (not paraphrases) from Jim Hays. Having said that, Jim Hays is head of WFA as someone commented, so point taken. Thank you.

I chose to illustrate what I view as inconsistencies in Wells Fargo’s actions with the topic of WFC (WFA) exiting international business “due to risk concerns”, yet not considering the risks involved in outsourcing jobs in the banking industry internationally. There is less risk involved in outsourcing manufacturing jobs than outsourcing access to confidential information, but that is a bigger topic.

BUT, I could have just as easily chosen to illustrate WFC’s bs by documenting WFC preaching diversity, yet Charlie hiring (mostly) his white male cronies for top positions. Or WFC saying they are cleaning the bank up, yet still pressuring employees to sell or meet various goals which create create potential conflicts of interest. Or WFC saying they are cleaning the bank up yet “looking the other way” all day long on the compliance issues that are raking in profits.

When the spirit moves me, I enjoy expressing my disdain for many aspects of WFC. I do it for myself, to let off some steam, and to commune with people who see things my way. I am fully aware that not everyone is going to agree, and that’s cool too.

I am not part of “ the Viagra crowd” fyi, but that is hilarious.

Your Fact 1 is not a fact. It was only talking about Wells Fargo Advisors, not every legal entity that is under Wells Fargo & Co.

@1snm+1aCGlLQp “”Accurate” would be the truthful characterization. But I’m not surprised that pointing out the obvious errors in OP’s post would enrage the Viagra crowd, so troll away.

Seriously, read a fu----g book.

What shall we call someone who criticizes the OP and most everyone on the board while offering absolutely no content? Worthless? Troll? Worthless troll?

Just gotta love two semiliterate products of the failed San Fran Sicko public schools arguing quotation vs paraphrase. It doesn’t get any better. Charlie can confidently cut at will.

The quotes under “FACT ONE” do not imply your incorrect conclusion. This is obvious. You really should read and think much harder before you post.

The upvotes you’ve received, and the downvotes I’m sure to receive, show just how incompetent much of this board is.

What are talking about? “The marks are different, ' vs " ????

Are you reading a different post? The OP is pointing out the contradictions and hypocrisy in Wells Fargo’s decisions. I can come up with several examples myself. WFC says one thing and does the other on a regular basis.

What I think you are wanting to do is fight the fight you’ve been hoping to have with anyone who brings up the topic of offshoring.

Seriously. No one said you have to comment on every post.

The marks are different, ' vs ". In any event the response is nothing more than pointing out the OPs hypocrisy. If outsourcing is an outrage, stop supporting it with your $. If people outside our borders are incapable of doing things in a policy compliant way, why would OP only be concerned about that in one specific situation. In short, the OP is doing the same thing the CEO is, shopping for lower cost foreign stuff, and they expect is to be selectively outraged by one but not the other.

Well I might have gotten it if your paraphrase came anywhere close to what the OP said. You misread and and misrepresented the post.

And you might want to look up the difference between a quotation and a paraphrase. Good grief.

You might want to clear the greasy smudges of your glasses. OP does not say anything about “damn those foreigners”.

  • the OP says while using their foreign made phone, driving their foreign made car, wearing foreign made clothes, watching their foreign made TV, in a house full of foreign made consumer items. 'damn those foreigners!', amiright?
