How many of the morning backroom associates have to clean up after the Merchandisers. Bale all of their cardboard, bag up plastic, drive out with the lift and help them bring all of their pallets and garbage to receiving, etc. Just curious, because there are only 2 of us and we're super busy too!!

Our AM receiving is garbage. Never help run trucks but complain when the dock is full. Garbage garbage garbage
PM backroom does 1 dc truck. (Not trained on claims after almost 2 years). AM shift does rest of trucks plus claims.
No to all of those. They do their own & if not maintenance helps them. My question is what exactly does the Am backroom team at ur clubs & what does the PM do?
@OP+1aBwE4zr, not meant as a knock on you, but if you tolerate it, they'll continue to expect you to do it & will take advantage of you. Receiving is YOUR area. Not their's. Receiving has a lot to do every morning. They do not have time to pickup after merch team. Tell them that trash can't pile up or be brought back all at once because you have trucks to unload & vendors to check in. All of their trash slows you down. If they don't listen, push it out the back door out of your way.
Our morning crew waits until about 30 minutes before the store opens to start bringing their trash and then they junk up out back room with it for an hour or more while they go to break and try to pick any pallets they left down on the floor. We REFUSE to do their trash for them. Even on the days that try to leave it back there until 12 or 12:30. Nope. We don’t do it. I’ll get on the walkie and remind them and anyone listening it needs to get done.
Our merchandisers do their own trash. If we have time we sometimes bring their trash to receiving, but they take care of it . We also, if we have time help put pallets up... not very often.
