that you have people who have been here for 10 years and still don’t know how to do their job. Then again they hardly work so why should they need to know how to do their job? They are MIA 7 hours a day. Don’t even bother show up for meetings, do not answer emails and take 2 days to answer IMs. The sad thing is their teammates work 10 to 12 hours daily. Unbelievable!

These people who have their own business selling stuffs online…. How do they make orders when a customer wants two stuffs? I’m trying to scale my business selling stuffs too.
Don’t be naive! When I don’t work hard I know I don’t work hard and vice versa. Slackers know they are slackers. They are no dummies and play their game well. When being pushed they will work but they won’t unless they absolutely have to.
Half my team is like this. My manager doesn't care at all, he just makes the rest of us pick up their slack. We hate our manager for this reason and he is too d-mb to notice.
Yes we have such people. People who login at 10 am and then they are away most of the time. And on top of that, they feel that they have done so much , when they joined and always boast of how hard they worked.
FYI - pretty much everyone thinks they are the hardest worker in the room. (Except for the previous OP who says to work less, which sometimes I agree with that too.)
Usually, no one thinks THEY are the slacker. Maybe others are saying the same about you?
I received good advice, once, which is to focus on my own performance and not be concerned with everybody else. (I, myself, was complaining about another person at the time.) Not always easy to do, but the advice has served me well.
Was there any rhyme or reason for the layoffs on 4/29? Was it just satellite employees?
Agreed. Dead wood and whiners should be gone.
The people who complain the loudest about dead weight are usually dead weight themselvers, and if not should be looking to tranfer or find another employer.
Useless whiners.
Apparently I was right, it is the dead weight person again.
Oh btw. We even have a husband and wife team and uh..., they are equally lazy.
@wta+1aBq8dLn.. axe to grind? Haha. I could not care less about the dead wood. I just think it is hilarious that Wells can operate this way and employees can be so lazy. I have had many jobs before this one and I am amazed at many things we do and the culture here. Fun to watch tho
This isnt a one off axe to grind thing. I have 70 % of my team like this and its starting to drag me down with them.
If they ever do idle time analytics on IM there will be some tough questions to answer around productivity. I do believe in reducing staff, because it will actually give the rest of us who arent branch tellers enough to do.
My team lead works long hours and on weekend. A guy works for her hardly work and yet she does not assign him anything. He just stays under the radar and do nothing.
Dead wood is even more dead when wfh. I know some people who have their own business selling stuffs online and that is what they do instead of working. Hey, if they can get away with it why not?
@twk+1aBq8dLn It means you can’t contact him. Not answer emails, IMs nor show up for meetings even when his IM status is green, but it rarely green mostly Away.. got it?
we have a lady in our group just like this and a few guys. Cant believe how they skate through for so many years and I am sure they will this time too,
I am guessing this is all one person with an axe to grind. Probably because this person told them they needed to learn why things work. Probably the dead weight/ clean house one that posts daily.
I’m sure there are useless people around, but to paint anyone with experience with a broad brush is not too bright.
MIA 7 hours a day - please expand on that?
How is that even possible?
There are 3 lazy worthless ones in my team we call them princes, and they are the one who complain about lay off. I am like don’t you think you should get laid off if there is one? You have been milking Wells for years, time for you people to go.
That’s why Charlie should clean house. Lot of cleaning to do. Dead wood is not cheap to keep around. And the are the ones who complain and whine the loudest here.
Because Wells never had a stick, only carrots.
But it's true. I had just joined and people were there for twenty years and they were asking me how to do something.
Dude, we have a individual in our world that has been here 2.6 decades and has no freaking clue what they are doing. Can't remember anything. I am not sure how he even makes it to work!
