I've been contemplating it for a while but with a new job lined up I had no more excuses. I'm happy to be leaving this mess of nepotism and b—s— politics. I will miss the people I work with, I was really lucky in being surrounded by great folks all this time that made this whole experience bearable. I wish all of you staying good luck and I hope things improve soon.

I left 2 weeks ago. I'm a store rep. I have always been very good at hitting numbers without being pushy and load accounts with c-ap.
I was sick of still leading the store in the metrics that make us money.. but the credit card and vz home c-ap put me over the top.
I my letter of resignation, I put that my motivation for leaving was, I refuse to defaud customers by listening to local leadership and lie to customers any more.
Krista is like a cancer to retail. She is over her head and just a bad leader.
Better off
Toxic is right. I would have never expected to feel the way I do about the company, and in some ways it’s broken my heart. So many disgruntled current and former employees keep reaching out to me because they’ve heard I’m on the way out (somehow)...I guess when a good and tenured employee finally stops caring, people notice. It’s disgusting the way things have been handled, especially for frontline employees. I’m too young for the health problems I’m facing due to the stress of the job. Between little to no development and company policy that allows the frontline to be abused by customers, I finally accepted it is time to go as well.
Let all the leadership that has sat at home during the pandemic get a dose of it. They’ve reduced headcount so much it won’t take many employees resigning to force them in to the stores for the first time in over a year. Make the absent GMs and SMs get a dose of the mean customers and unexplained metrics. Sounds like a lot of the frontline has been in fight or flight mode for quite some time, and we tried to fight, now we are in flight. There are so many jobs out there because the economy is finally opening back up, and vaccine availability is making it safer to make a change, and Verizon employees know it. If they don’t want us, I promise there are other companies that do.
Verizon is garbage! It’s such a sh–ty place to work and these scum executives keep collecting their checks while cutting everyone else’s jobs and piling work on us. Unionize!!!!!!! Stick it to them and unionize! There’s a reason they do so much manipulation around this subject. It’s because all this sh– was coming and they knew it. Unionize!!!!
Friday is my last day, I'm the 3rd person in 2021 to leave my store.
My HR generalist told me there is a large influx of people leaving in the past 60 days
This is what they want.
You are helping the company they want us out, so they can hire kids out of high school paying them $12/hr vs a veteran $20+ Hourly wage
Good for you. Put Verizon in the rear view mirror. You will make new friends at your new job.
I left last week. I was able to get a great job elsewhere. Over the past year I was motivated by Verizon to find a way out. I can tell everyone you are better than Verizon. Get that resume updated, apply and get your name out there.. good things will happen. Might take some time but it is worth it. The grass is greener for sure.
Stop drinking the Verizon KoolAid. There is not growth for you at Verizon. It is toxic .
@ Had Enuff. I could be wrong but I feel I know what dept you are in and I feel you. However, with all bandages VZ put on the system, they have no other option but to use those departments. It is horrible because currently I that seems to be the only solution yet the only solution has been drastically affected by reduction.
We all need out
I am working hard to be right behind you. They cut my department headcount by more than half, tripled the work and created a toxic culture. Cant keep up with the workload and they keep dumping more and more on us without communicating to the field our bloated workload. We have 2 id–ts in charge and they took a once well respected job and turned us into a low level mess. Like I said I am working hard to find another job.
