Word is we are adopting a form of the sun trust Saturday branch plan where branches open on Saturday will have to self-staff without rotating in neighboring branch teams to support and manage the workload... As a HBBT associate I am very concerned about the real possibility of losing a lot of teammates over this and then trying to attract and retain new associates! The branches aren’t staffed enough as is so the fear if someone leaves then the teammates who remain would be working nearly every single Saturday. Not to mention the uneven distribution of managers who aren’t open on Saturday which will likely cause many of the leaders who have Saturday offices to jump ship. Seriously this is the best plan they have?!?

You are right. Email just came out from retail community bank communications
At least the MLB boycotts Truist field. King must be quite thrilled
But who turns out the lights?
Spot on, if you need a job, let me know. I need bankers with that attitude. Thank you for speaking up!

Good banks have good people and good people make good branches and good branches produce good revenue.
- good branches produce good revenue...

Do you know that for a fact or are you speculating? Seems like most branches are just valuable real estate holdings. Bet you could lose 50% of them and not even know they are gone.
Good banks have good people and good people make good branches and good branches produce good revenue. When you downsize to a skeleton crew and then ask for more hours, you defeat the purpose. Branches can thrive, it's when you squeeze the employees to death with empty promises and lies you end up here. Don't believe that all digital is the answer because digital apps can't ask for your business. No banks needs Saturday hours, I agree with the post that it's another way to make you quit. Once Kelly and Rogers get their final payout, the bank will be sold again and that's the Truist truth!
It k–ls me that people are on here worried about getting laid off while simultaneously complaining about what essentially amounts to additional guaranteed hours at their job. Like which one is it guys, pick a side.
Why are you still there? Get out. Get out now. There is no future in branch banking. Rogers knows it, Kelly knows it, even Dante knows it (and he’s not there for his banking knowledge).
WhTs your dignity worth? Hopefully more than a lousy retail salary. There are so many better options. Go now!
Branch Banking is a zombie business. It looks alive but it's actually very dead. You aren't bringing it back. Get out while ya can,
Think about it, what a perfect way to have you quit, without staff they'll go back to no Saturdays, it's just a ploy rather than pay severance. They're good at playing this game, Executive Management know exactly what their doing.
