Belk has been with us since 1888 it's part of the south for generations. at one point they were all downtown right in the middle of the customers daily lives some of us had gone there so many times to purchase clothing for church school job interviews. and over time with good leadership from the Belk family they grew adding bigger stores in surban shopping centers the Belk family was the symbol of good southern hard work and giving back to the community with roads churches parks and more. but with so much change from the outside and the inside of the company I don't think Belk will make it much longer. what effect will it have on the customer the one that has been shopping with us for decades and the ones that are still finding us?
