IF YOU GET LAIDOFF AND YOU KNOW YOUR JOB IS BEING OFFSHORED PLEASE READ BELOW

Government Assistance
You may be entitled to claim financial assistance and help with retraining if you lose your job to overseas competition under the terms of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. The act requires most employers with 100 or more employees to provide 60 calendar days’ notice of plant closures or mass layoffs and provides help to certain classes of employees when jobs are outsourced. Get in touch with your local Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration office to find out if you qualify for assistance.

So much whining for all of the jobs outsourced to India. What an irony that San Francisco and California reliably votes for Democrats who put the H11B Visa programs in place.

All this supposed “educated” fools who have no idea that they have caused this.

If they keep sending jobs offshore. What will happen to people living in the US? How can they find jobs?

@osz+1a3YsL9d The WARN Act has a calendar timer. The number of layoffs are counted over a rolling 90 day period.

unfortunately thats not how they do it.

100-175 people lose their job every day, in different departments, and different cities. On any given day 10 people will be fired in charlotte, 5 in alaska, 30 in california, 10 in florida, 8 in ny, etc....added up its pretty consistently in the 120-175 range every day. They letting air our of staffing slowly and steadily.

This is done I think specifically to avoid WARN notices. (over 600 = warn notice. ). Because these are "small" numbers and not concentrated in any area, the bank can hide its shift of jobs to india.

The bank hires a few hundred in india and fires a few hundred in usa. If you track only the top number of employees you will probably not notice the shift. This is likely intentional.

Anyway, they got fingered in house a while back for what they doing when a congresswoman got flooded with calls from her constituents https://youtu.be/hmQhrzMhDMM

The annual report she is talking about is the DEF14A. You can find that online at edgar https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/72971/000119312521082907/d71313ddef14a.htm

Go ahead and search that document for "india". Even tho there are more than 20% bank staff now sitting in india the bank doesnt say anything about that in their annual report.

Its almost like they are hiding something politically "sensitive" that they dont want the public to know about.

When did this place turn into lawyer / department of labor central? Everyone is getting notice so there's really not a compliance issue here.
