I am in "Marketing " or what's left of it, being told to go out and get "lots of memberships"- HOME OFFICE said " NO OUTSIDE SALES- TO PROTECT OUR ASSOCIATES HEALTH" so WTH can managers make thier own set of rules, do the lives of Marketing associates not count??? Is it greed, ignorance or just plain stupidity???? So if I went out, got covid19, died - who's responsible?? SMH I THINK THESE MANAGERS SHOULD GO OUT IN THE FIELD AND TSKE THAT RISK FOR THEIR BELOVED CLUBS!!!

Our marketing lead has not left the building since covid. Once corporate said it stopped, outside sales stopped. If you have noticed they are dumping a lot more money in outside adverts. Marketing in general won't be coming back. They were already planning this before covid. They were going 3rd party to handle our marketing. Also, corporate raised the minimum daily club goal for programs in club to help make up for it. Our marketing lead has been working as an MSL. And assumingly will stay as such or become something similar within the store. But no more door to door.
Technically, the company could be held liable. Contact a labor attorney and a personal injury attorney. Sue, or have your family follow through in case you become ill. Contact your state district attorney as well.
I go nowhere but the club. Buy my groceries there, gas there. I go to work and go home. Faithfully wear my mask and wash my hands. Did this for a year. Got covid anyway. I wish I had had an office to hid in and stay safe. I'm a cashier. Sorry, but if I have to do my job, you should have to do yours. In fact, now that I've had covid, I'll trade you jobs. You come work the register, and I'll go out in the field. How's that?
Keep in mind you have a free life insurance policy while working for Wal-Mart Inc.
So that should answer that rather morbid question.
They should move you to maintenance if you don't want to do your job
