Hey, I’ve been driving a forklift for about 2 years now on the pm merchandising shift. I was just wondering if us forklift merchandisers could expect a raise since almost every department is making 15? I’d really rather not drive if we aren’t because our club has recently gave us higher expectations to meet as far as driving and more accountability than ever before. My team lead said a raise was coming but I’m unsure if he’s telling the truth just so I don’t turn my license in. Don’t mean to sound selfish or unappreciative but I’d rather be stocking for 15 than driving for 15. Less risk of being coached for job performance that way.

At my club there is a long list of associates who will drive a forklift. Better to be a driver and not have to stock or pull pallets around by floor jack.
Be careful with saying you are not going to drive. It is obscurely written in some of the job description. And once you are a driver it becomes an essential part of the job.
They took away the whopping 50 cent incentive for driving about 12 years ago. I stopped driving at that point. Not worth it!! Don't drive until they offer at minimum a one dollar or more raise.
Best way around is to not drive anymore, I use to be a manager and will tell you that 90 percent of managers will tell you what you wanna hear. Wait til the raise kicks in then go back if people get upset just explain to them you have more tasks to do and you feel they would be good at handling the driving because they work so hard lol
