Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Dear Wells Fargo enterprise...

  • please take the long, overdue action of selling off the Auto LOB.

All up and down the Auto ladder are warm bodies just shuffling redundant paperwork around all day, 'attending' meetings, being paid WAY WAY WAY above average comp compared to market rates for nearly every position.

And for what?

4% of the entire enterprise? Less?

Is it really worth all the risk? Especially knowing that the least capable employees in the enterprise are in Auto?

Is WF really forecasting significant growth in the used car market? If so, someone should rerun the numbers.

Auto is the least prestigious LOB within WF. Just selling the Auto LOB without any other effort would instantly raise the enterprise's level of prestige, even if only incrementally.

You are not informed. Auto is one of the most profitable LOB's. They like every other LOB, took the cheaper route and turned in high profits, but did little tech investments/upgrades for years. WF has now changed that, their operating model and shutdown direct auto at the branches. No other LOB spends only 24 cents of every $ earned.

Puleeease - yes. Sell it off! Shut it down

PPL on this board complain about antiquated convoluted applications - Auto is that times 100.

impossible to navigate procedures and the "application". When someone tries to modernize a 1% slice, the ppl, processes, DBs, relationships with dealers and all those loosey goosey, secret handshake handoffs make it impossible.

Too many secret doors, traps, conditions, it's like playing a video game you can never win.

Amen.

I had an auto loan with Wells once and oh my God was it painful. Their systems are truly the worst and their customer service was utterly dreadful. Easily the worst LOB at Wells and that’s saying a lot
