Yes, some associates do care. Especially if they did that marketing job for decades. The stress of trying to make people believe how great Sam's is, the questions when you return each day, the wear and tear on your personal vehicle, the getting kicked out of businesses because you are part of Walmart...even some Walmarts don't want anything to do with Sam's now. Its f'd up. Not worth it. Businesses don't even want you in them any longer and many are switching to Costco, due to their employees preferring Costco. Easier to do on line now and this company only wishes they could beat Amazon. Won't happen. Everyone has a position at Sam's and no ones job is more important than anyone else's.
Sad to say but we all know that this position has been hanging on by a thread for years!
Outside sales are a thing of the past!
If Sam’s keeps up their horrific customer service practices I would say they will become another Sears or Kmart! Hell I work there and I don’t want to shop and my membership is free!
Who wants to wait in a long line? Not me.
We’re definitely headed in the wrong direction.
They are hoping all Marketing will get so fed up that they quit, saving the company payout $$$. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!!
Imo this position is going to be gone in no time. We get our numbers without the position being filled. Our manager sits on their butt eating in the office.
Marketing was eliminated like almost 2 years ago? Some people didn’t move positions and are a position that doesn’t exist but still doing whatever the club needs. Membership Representative Manager replaced marketing.
Sold in field is gone. The company realized funding the Covid crisis that people will still buy memberships without the door to door mentality. You will still have a position but it will be inside the club selling credits, memberships and scan and go conversions.
Nothing different happing to marketing. We are still doing the same job.
You ask this question every 2 weeks, and the answer is always.....no one cares.
