What is the status of the 2900 ( official nos. , but then who is counting) employees that were shown the door in the recent layoffs ? Were some of them able to find other jobs internally or was that door shut down , now that most divisions have almost zero new recquisitions, as per new strategy.
Interesting thing to note is that the company laid off numerous employees who had 20 + years of experience and were actually productive and their onlyfault was that they were in the wrong group at the wrong time.
Meanwhile fresh graduate hiring plan and implementation will be in full bloom come Q2 and Q3 2021. After all they need to fill in the pipe line ! Ironically attrition among newer employees, esp. those who joined in the last 7-8 years and without a pension plan, is significantly higher than normal. Newer people leaving in droves since they have probably realized that career progression is severely limited in a zero - negative * growth* company.
Interesting times ahead !!!
