I would like to propose that Home Office go on block schedules. They've been busy building a fancy new campus, so they need to take care of it. I propose that one shift come in at like 5 or 6 am (before business hours) to do the outside work (lawn care, trim trees/bushes, painting, etc.) before they go inside to work in the offices. Then, the "closing" shift comes in at like 11 or 12, works in the offices until the business day ends, then does the inside janitorial work (cleaning, stocking office supplies, etc.). until 8 or 9 pm.

This way, the company saves money by not paying outside lawn care/maintenance/janitorial companies, and the employees get to feel that sense of pride taking care of their workplace.

remember, the company will spin this to make it sound like they're doing this to benefit YOU. It will give you more help on the floor, it will allow you to make plans for recreational time with family & friends. IN reality, they know things come up that you can't do on your days off. So in order for you to do that, you're going to have to burn pto because the schedule can't be adjusted. Meanwhile these numbskulls making these decisions for YOU are working M-F no later than 4 pm.
