Meat Changes

All senior meat cutters will be on 6::00am - 2:30pm shift and wrappers will be on 12:30pm - 9:00pm shift. Team leads no change.

I find it hilarious you say senior cutters, they have a machine to REPLACE you!!! If it takes two to operate just give up now. Your manager, team lead or senior cutter complains doing a truck is so petty and entitled. How about everyone does their part?

I know it's probably club by club basis but does anyone know if schedules will change for senior meat cutters outside of this change? Will their days off stay the same, etc.?

The puma machine is for slow cutters. Anyone can do it and in the end the wrappers will become the cutters

Prior to block scheduling, I ran my department similarly.

There's no reason to pay a senior cutter to clean and stock for the last 2-3 hours of his shift. The sooner all the meat gets cut, the better. 3 or 4 guys every morning can do that and put away the load.That frees the wrappers to only stock, clean the room, reduce, throws, etc.

This works. Especially considering we got a PUMA cutter which requires TWO PEOPLE to operated efficiently, NOT ONE. Right now I'm willing to bet alot of clubs have one cutter using that machine per shift while the wrapper runs around like crazy.

Only problem i see is managers taking this very simple model and fing it up by doing unnecessary s like taking cutters and putting them in Rotisserie or HMS or freezer cooler
