Yeah I figured once everyone started getting paid for what they deserved was gonna be punished. I’ve been part time for 10 years working 25-30 hours every week now I’m forced to only work 20 hours. This company dont care at all but themselves

" I'm not understanding the cut backs if sams made alot of money this past yr."

It's called greed my friend. The heads of Wal Mart & Sam's are only interested in filling their personal bank accounts. Corporate could make it a company that people want to work for. They could invest in and develop long term associates with knowledge that are assets.
It was "explained" to associates that corporate was expecting a decrease in sales this year. In order to get in line with that, all of these cuts & schedule changes had to be made.
IF you cut the help in the stores, shelves won't get filled, & service will get worse. then obviously, sales will decline.
But if you keep the club properly staffed, your shelves will be full, it will be clean, associates won't feel overworked thus have better morale. Those things play a huge part in member experience & influence in whether they renew memberships or not.
But these dimwits running things are too blinded by self greed to realize this.
All though they say they're expecting a decrease in sales, club level management will get an ear full from home office when they fail to beat last year's numbers.

Sweet! I’d love to work 4am-11:30am or 5am-12:30pm instead of 4am-12:30pm! Less time in that hellhole every day is invaluable!

Yes. Full time is 35 to 40. They're getting cut to 35 hrs a week. And part time is 10 to 20 hrs.

My club has already cut part timers hrs to 20 hrs or less. The full time is next . They're getting cut to 35. I'm not understanding the cut backs if sams made alot of money this past yr.

Layoffs look bad in the media. They will achieve attrition by jerking employees schedules to make them quit.

no layoffs, but they're going to tighten up on tardies & points system. haviing the head count in line is priority. get ready to be understaffed more than you already are.

No layoffs or closings. Company is making mad money during this past year and the Pandemic.
