Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

If wellsFargo is a global company why is its board and executives mostly all usa nationals?

Chukkie makes 3,200,000 per year.

USA executive compensation is of the most expensive on the planet.

USA population is only 332,000,000 people.

In asia, executive compensation rarely exceeds 500,000 usd per year, and where it does it is for special circumstances.

Taken over a decade, Wells Fargo could return over $300,000,000 usd to shareholders by firing the current ceo alone.

Why doesnt the board care about shareholders?

If wells fargo is truly a global company, why isn't most of the board and executive staff also global?

Wells Fargo is a top 30 or so employer in the US with one of the largest remote workforce. Yes we are an awful company for employing so many in the US and allowing them to work from home (pre-COVID) at a great rate than other US employers.

WF is not a global company. It’s an American company that uses foreign labor because it’s cost effective to cheat social security of revenue, state tax coffers of revenue, increase diseases of despair, destroy the middle class, and gut national defese - all of which are paid for with taxes that will no longer be collected because wells fargo is NOT a patriotic american company.

Nope - they are predators.

Before predatory to our customers, and now, predatory to her faithful employees.

Yes most corporations similar to ours are 30-40% offshore, we are less than 15%. So yes we are underweighted on offshore.

@qyz+19oCPA8A Light on offshore labor? Have you seen how many people report into EGS? Behind branch banking, they have the most people

We are definitely light on offshore labor force. We can keep the jobs domestic and lay more people off or we can save jobs in the us and make they higher value. Don't be so ignorant, an international workforce is absolutely necessary to dave us jobs. Wake up people and stop the complaining. You have a choice stay or leave.

Its not global, its about as American as Doh Khleh. Why do you think so many are upset they're having us train our Indian replacements.

It's not a global company. What are you talking about.? Outside of the US, it's a joke compared to real global firms (JPM, MS, GS, etc.)

Charlie made 20.3M a year not 3.2M
US exec compensation is the most expensive on the planet because frankly its worth it. A big portion of the salary is directly linked to performance of the firm. You can look at the proxy.
Its interesting that you use Asia and their 500K ceo salaries. Asian firms have some of the worst ROIC in the world. Like most things you get about what you pay for them. I think your question should be is Charlie worth 20-30M a year, and that's to be seen.
Depends how you define global, unlike the other big 4, JPM, BOA, CITI.. Wells Fargo serves primarily Americans. They do have a couple of exec's overseas. But even now you can see they are pulling back from customers who aren't American. The regulation to serve these customers is a nightmare and extremely expensive.
