Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Where to go from here?

Fiserv is my first job, I’ve been here for a little over two years, but I’ve already seen how things are in this company and I want to get out of here as soon as possible. What bothers me the most is the toxic atmosphere that is becoming unbearable. By the way, I always thought I was coping well with stress until I came here. Can anyone tell me if they encounter similar problems in other companies (Diebold , FIS, ACI Worldwide, Assurant, Jack Henry & Associates)?

44,600 are forced to say they like the company or your fired.... That attrition is looking pretty high, and we all love spyware on our machines.

I agree with the last post. You have been at Fiserv long enough to get experience, and a new company would look good on that resume with a better title.

You are in the perfect position. Two years is the ideal time to switch to a new company. You will get higher pay and possibly a better job title. (Because you now have two years of experience.)

Just keep upgrading every couple years and you will make more money than anyone who stays a Fiserv. (Does not specifically apply to Fiserv, this is just how the corporate system works.)

If you ever do come back to Fiserv is will be with a much better title. (and pay.)

Under the new CEO it might be ok at ACI but they’re high risk of being sold. Possibly to Fiserv!

This is an interesting comparison of Fiserv with its primary competitors: https://www.comparably.com/companies/fiserv/competitors

Wise to exit. My entire department has left on their own volition, not fired. If you have a network here, use it. Fiserv is gone and First Data rules and protocols have taken over. Layoffs will happen in 2021, nobody knows how many or locations. Offices have closed, so is this a firm that values employee and staff??? I miss the Fiserv I worked for and it is truly sad.

If I were you I'd jump over to ANY of those other places just to get out of First Data
