I'd really like to get my name on the next layoff list. Is there anything I can do to make that happen that won't actually get me fired? I know I can't just talk to my boss about this because if they know I want to leave, they have zero incentive to give me severance. They can just wait me out. But anything else that crosses my mind seems very likely to land me in the "getting the boot" kind of trouble. What are my options here?

Are you designated? If yes, get a DWI or smoke weed before a pee test

Do the folks laid off in the December involuntary program qualify for unemployment benefits ? Or are they disqualified due to signing the separation agreement ?
Be a vocal participant in any and all culture change committees. Talk to anyone in the management chain to get the right things done, not just your direct supervisor. This is how to attract the PIP without violating your own integrity.
Unlike other posters, I recommend the 3 months salary + 6 months on unemployment ride. It was great while it lasted for me and my family.
If you just mention it politely to your boss in a couple of meetings it might put you on the next list. They can probably read people just enough to tell who is ready to move on.
Changing your mobility to zero is actually a really good suggestion. The only thing I've consistently heard is that the company is looking for mobile folks in the future.
You could try slacking off, show up late on a regular basis. They may let you go in the next round, but will most likely promote you.
If there is another, you could change your mobility to be 0.
Tell your boss “no” a couple of times. You will get your wish.
Take the bosses wife out to dinner and never call her back..

Sounds like you’ve already checked out mentally and I completely understand. I’m kicking myself for not taking the package. Nonetheless, have a plan. Pay down some bills, start searching for a new job. Knowing that there’s light at the end of the tunnel feels good. I’m sick of being sick and tired. ExxonMobil management AND the staffing and development team will s— the life out of you. It’s not worth the stress. Good luck and God Bless.
The next layoff list is those being placed in NSI bucket. Just volunteer yourself to be placed in the bucket and elect to collect the PIL @ 3 months salary.
Exactly what I was thinking, leave, the previous severance was little and future ones might even be less.
You can actually say bye and get out. Why do you want to be on the list? If you find a job just go. The puny severance package does not hold up in the grand schema of things.
