Anyone heard more about the Source Owner layoffs or displacements? also hear that its a way to hire lower salaried team members to do the current work that has to be done. Huge mess now for certain teams with no direction, nor does anyone care- they just say GO LOOK for something else. Also other groups that depend on these roles have no clue what is going on. Makes no sense.

Well, there is chaos in tech already after letting go of a lot of managers and the team now being under managers with 40 reports. No direction and folks left on their own. Heaven forbid if the employees need something or some direction if they are new to all this.
So nothing would surprise me, some stupid decisions on layoffs have been made already.
I can count the number of proponents/RSOs/DCOs who could actually provide guidance on the applicability of their reg to the actual business units on one hand. The current model is broken, and since its wells, the future model will also be broken.
My advice, find a new job, preferably at a different company.
