I just received a W2 from Verizon saying that I earned wages in 2020. I was laid off in spring 2018 and didn't receive any money from Verizon last year.
Has anyone else experienced this? I plan on contacting payroll on Monday.

It most likely is the 2nd payout on the RSUs. The first payout was 2019 and the 2nd in 2020. It shows up as earned income (since you really never owned the shares) and therefore shows up on a W2. I am from the class of 2018 and I received my W2 for the RSUs in 2020 as well. This should be the last of it for ex-employees.
