I learned there’s no “taking a sick day” anymore. You fall in one of three availability categories: 1) Dead and have an excuse, 2) Have contracted COVID-19 and have an excuse, or 3) are just fine, because you’re WFH after all and there are presumably no other challenges in your life that would prevent you from completing the 12 hour day that is implicitly - or directly - expected.

I apologize to the author for c/ p his post in a new thread, but this has become a really big problem. I had this situation recently, and I had to work despite being so sick that I could barely muster the strength to work. I believe I’m not the only one?

"Also, for employees whose mental health has been impacted by COVID-19, we’re expanding COVID-19 Sick Leave to include time away for mental health — effective Nov. 1. "
@2mvt whoa, is that true? I've been banking my PTO in case I get laid off, using this COVID time would really help me out. Thanks for the tip.
You all need to find better managers.....We can now even use our extra 80 hours of Covid sick time as mental health time off. And I have used it for such days.
This is spot on. PTO isn’t respected in the remote environment. Why do you need PTO didn’t anyone tell you there is a pandemic.
There is no legal basis for this at all. It depends on you and what you feel you "owe" Nike. If you are not feeling well and need time off, take it. Do not create a "guilt filed" around yourself and others for wanting to taking care of yourself
