Meanwhile some employees who stayed got promotions. Classic CHK. You know why I would leave? The leaders cannot be trusted. They have no ethics.

It is just business for the VP’s and managers to lie to their best employees about job security then stick a knife in their back and boot them out the door. They will love you again when the price of oil recovers. So don’t lose any sleep over loyalty or values because there is none.

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend
The end of our elaborate plans
The end of ev'rything that stands
The end

No safety or surprise
The end
I'll never look into your eyes again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need of
some strangers hand
In a desperate land

Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the king's highway
Weird scenes inside the goldmine
Ride the highway West baby

Ride the snake
Ride the snake
To the lake
To the lake

He's old
And his skin is cold
The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here and we'll do the rest

The blue bus is calling us
The blue bus is calling us
Driver, where you taking us?

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend
The end

Such a terrible way to end a career. Worked hard, did more than required, was told not to worry as I would be there post bankruptcy and where I’d be transitioning to. No worries... until Wednesday morning out of the blue the dreaded phone call... thanking me for my work, tenure and good hopes for my future. Shocked...shouldn’t have been but was. I pray for all the wonderful and talented people who lost jobs on Wednesday and in prior layoffs. I thank everyone I worked with at CHK. I loved my job and hope that after the initial sting is gone, another door will open.

CHK has went from 8,000 to 800 workers on the OKC campus in the past 7-8 years. What a legacy you leave DL!

No way. They like to cut 200 at a time. Give them 2-3 months plus they will cut pay and benefits to encourage even more to leave. It ain't over
