Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Get rid of the ELT!

Current leadership has overseen the greatest loss of human and financial capital the company has ever seen.
Is the board ready to get rid of this leadership team or watch BP continue to carve itself up for its competitors ?

This is exactly what needs to happen if we ever hope to see BP change trajectory. This ELT has already proven just how incapable it is. How long will it take until we can get somebody who actually knows how to lead a company of this size?

Looney said during bp&me that "nice is offensive, and to use the word kind". I am pretty sure he has an extra chromosome, and that's "putting it kindly".

best hope is a takeover from Exxon. Looney is clearly only worried about his image and not running a business.

If you are hoping for a merger with Shell and BP, let me tell you Shell will sever every BP employee grade F and above. It will be more painful than any downsizing to date.

Then they have to take on the $64 billion debt and they will sell many of
Bp’s assets. Like selling Texas City Refinery for $4 billion to Marathon after spending $16 billion in approvements.

The ELT has only, so far, managed to demonstrate its complete ineptitude and contempt for its employees.

They need removing urgently before they destroy the company once and for all....

One can only hope a “merger” with Shell takes place (and soon) with sweeping reforms.

I’ve experienced BP merging with Amoco. It was not a merger it was a slaughter. Pray that BP Leadership Team gets their act together (they won’t).
