Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Why did you agree to voluntary separation?

Someone wrote about how wrong the people who agreed to voluntary separation were. I am that case.

I knew it wasn’t a good move. In fact, I don’t even know what my real reason was for agreeing to it. I guess I couldn’t stand the pressure anymore. Total recklessness.

Now that I look back, I would never do it again and I would never advise anyone to do it!!!

Because signing the paperwork is a double win for them....they don't have to eliminate and you can't sue. By not signing, the pressure is on them. They have to decide who stays and who goes, that's the easy part. The hard part is that they have to do this in accordance with the EEOC and they have to provide proper documentation as to the age, gender, race, etc of every single person they terminated. I for one cannot wait to see the reaction when I request this. They should be afraid, very afraid.

I believe you have until 2/5 to pull out of the voluntary separation. Read the document that you signed and there is a clause stating you can pull out.

It's really not that wise to sign any legal document without advice from a professional. I don't trust Mondelez management so there is NO WAY I would sign.
Kellogg employees won a class action lawsuit AFTER they left DSD. The document that you signed does not allow you to do so.
Did you know in the last year Mondelez has lost one lawsuit and settled another over the exact same thing? Makes ya think, huh?
And that quite honestly is only the tip of the iceberg!
