Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Foxtrot Uniform Bernard

Just wanted to post a big F U to Bernard...I don't think any of BP's top execs has been this reviled, and I've been with BP for 20 years and saw and dealt with many of them. It's like he lives in an alternate reality, always worrying more about optics than business and creating generations of leaders in his image - leading to the worst morale level I've ever seen. I hope you get fired soon.

Yup, petroleum engineer who saw the light! Me or them, reputation and how my kids view me are more important - I have money! I guess he is envious of Elon Musk, getting credit for saving the planet while becoming the richest person on earth! Why not give it a go.....

Nice article, only man standing is an engineer himself - akin to eating his own to survive...

He'll last until the next upswing of the proverbial commodities pendulum. Once BP....excuse me bp.... fails to deliver compared to the XOM's and others, he'll be ousted. Stockholders rally behind these pushes towards alternative energy when oil prices are low, but once they realize the company's money would be better spent elsewhere he'll be sacked. Hopefully it's before everyone with a brain at this company quits.
