Have you guys had your meeting with all the new changes? What did they go over with you?

retail is a sinking ship. reps that are 40 hours will be moved to 24 or 32 hours. GMs are going to phased out they are training SMS to do there jobs like wise with SMS training SS to do more. stores will continue to close or move to indirect. the remaining corp store will have 1 sm only. the company screwed themselves by letting RINOS stay in management for years and have ridiculous base salaries. I know SMS with 70,000 base salaries and GMS with 80,000 base salary. while current SS, and SMS are between 38,000 to 48,000. do you see where i am going with this.
I can see Verizon sabotaging their own in store experience and making it lousy for customers just to make them want to go elsewhere and justify closing them. I would not put this past leadership.
They don’t need to have a meeting. The extra work is pretty much things reps have done all along . I just don’t think it’s a smart approach. The expectations are unrealistic if the stores are going to reduced headcount/hours. I work in a store where we always have a customer in the que. So basically everyone is always working with a customer. Let’s say the pandemic subsides by the summer ...even if traffic only goes up by 20% the current and new model would never handle this. It seems like the customer will become secondary to getting back shop work done. One thing is for sure if you are an SM you better polish up those resumes because the writing is clearly on the wall in regards to your jobs.

They are getting rid of commission
Yesterday my gm had 3 phone conferences in a row. Back to back. After he was done, he came out and said they were cancelling our meeting for Friday. Don’t know what that’s all about
