Thread regarding Essilor layoffs

Individual performance is being downgraded

All the leaders of the shared service departments of EoA have received the order from HR (Lisa E. , George G. ,Jasmine B.,etc.) to downgrade anyone who was "Exceeded Expectations" to "Met Expectations" without any valid reason given.

That order was because senior management wanted a bell curve in employment reviews versus an honest appraisal of performances. None of those individuals are still employee, but that is still the EL model. Unfair and managers should push back. It affects merit raises (well not this year since there were none).

No layoffs are planned. Business is increasing. Quit spreading stuff that isn't true.

So everyone feels that Lux will take control and do what? Consolidate marketing/management/IT? Reorg again?

Very insightful...I was having a team meeting with colleagues and we were all amazed to notice that we all had goals this year that HAD NOTHING to do with our job descriptions...

Reason is that management is voluntarily trying to increase the churn.
Luxottica is in the background preparing to take control in May 2021.
Nothing new, we knew this for 3 years now. Now is the time to eat popcorn and see the action.

With the way we run things I'm surprised anyone gets meets expectations. Here do 3 people's jobs and oh ya we don't know what results we want but try to meet our goals.

You need to go to the coffee machine to be well evaluated in Essilor. Shoeshine your direct manager sand h+1 if possible. Sad but true.  Essilor HR has never been here to help plus unable or unwilling to build a clear acceptable evaluation tool.

Despite exceeding expectations year after year, I and everyone i know has always been given "met expectations." This is nothing new.
