All yourself why are the workers negative. I've only been with Belk for 4 years, but every long time veteran had told me the company was much better before it was sold. There was a greater level of respect for the associates, customers, store appearance. Belk could be more, it could be better, but there is such a disconnect between corporate and stores. It's going to take a lot more than debt relief to keep this company afloat. Seriously, do we need 300 skus of Kim Rogers table shirts? They need to stop selling b—s—. Why go to Belk to buy the same item that is at Roses or Family Dollar for less? Someone explain to me why this major department store is selling Goody ponytail holders, and mini hair products. And now Vitamin Shoppe products. I don't get it

No. The heart attacks and strokes were due to STRESS! Plain and simple. Believe it or not. I saw what I saw.
Pretty sure the strokes and heart attacks were due to lifestyle choices and not pushing luggage, coffee makers, and bad fashion.
How can a select group of executives drive the company down? I think it’s all the negative workers on here that’s causing it. Go Belk!
Belk used to be fun to work at. It became toxic. I saw the mistreatment of the over 50 associates and how they put them under extreme stress. I saw strokes and heart attacks brought on by the pressure from this job. If you think Belk is a good place to work then you are not paying attention to what is happening around you or you just don't care.
Belk is a joke. It does not matter how good of an associate you are belk still finds a way to bring you down. Wait and see what the next announcement is going to be after this round of bs they have feeding us. And before you say " if it's so bad why don't you quit?". Looking every day for another job. Can't wait to get out of belk.
I beg to differ. Belk can't be the best because, according to legendary performer Don Ho (as proven in the video below), Hawaii is the best. Better than the rest!
