What bothers me a lot here at Nike lately is that the company doesn’t promote the idea of doing a job in a smarter, easier way. Everything is done the hard way. Someone who has worked hard to finish the job is valued more than someone who has found a much more efficient way to get the job done. That is my personal impression, and it is very possible that I am not the only one who thinks so?

Some of us used to joke that the Maxim “Simplify and Go” really meant “Overcomplicate and Stop”
