Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Has Anyone Noticed...

I work in Care. I feel like this needs to be brought to the FCC’s attention, or whatever agency can fine Verizon for this.

I think it’s a shady practice that a person on a Do More plan receives VZ Cloud for free, but when they downgrade to a Start Plan, or even Play More , the cloud feature is not auto-downgraded. and the customer is subsequently billed for it unless they notice it and remove it. I’ve ran into hundreds of accounts that have realized they’ve been being charged for a feature they didn’t sign up for. Consumers are wising up, and it’s baffling to me that we preach about integrity yet do this to our customers. No wonder they’re leaving!

the system tells you when the promo drops off so if you're not telling the customer it's your fault. Apologize to the customer and tell them you'll credit them for a month or 2.

I think it is a good thing because when people do a plan change they will not tell the customer they are losing the Verizon Cloud and all there content. And then they will call customer service and blame us for losing their cloud and then sue us for not telling them. I have been around long enough when the Cloud accounts crashed years ago and thousands of people lost their content. I had to sit on the phone and listen to old ladies cry about their missing pictures of their dead cat lol.

I’ve had customers come in that have worked with other reps or care on options to “save money “on the bill. The most popular change is downgrading to start unlimited. What they supposedly “ saved “ usually came with losing options that they were not aware of: Cloud, Disney bundle, Apple Music, hot spotting,premium network access and 5G UW capability. Moving customers down to Start Unlimited causes a major cluster and should be avoided at all times. I guarantee that most reps and customer service agents rarely go over the losses to the customer when they change plans.
