Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

The More things change the more they stay the same

Ridiculous targets, with a compensation that doesn't match.

Leadership wants more sales? Go back to the drawing board on compensation. Mandates are relaxing across the board, stores are minimally staffed, and effort by most is at the bare minimum.

As long as RIS pays more than sales why bother over exceeding the miserable sales cap of 1.3 when some COVID denying Karen or Chad nukes my stores pay to decelerating by commenting on a colleagues accent, complaining about mask mandates, giving their $.02 about how COVID isn't real, calling me a Democrat because the job requires certain procedures to be followed. I can't wait for the inevitable class action for racist and ignorant surveys that can't be discrepancied because of a dip sh– reason.

And these rediculous targets that aren't even worth a damn. Contribution Standards that are clearly defined by GROSS SALES that are undermined by a percentage.

"Hey I see your over the average on everything but your ARD is at $96, TMP at 73%, PT at 16%, phone adds 110%. So what do you think you can do to get to [fill in the b—s— metric]"

Do you id–ts really think some of these stores are TRULY OVER $120 in ARD!? I called one of these stores on a whim for some best practices, and their answer was the most BS corporate jargon imaginable. It wasn't even an actual thought. "Well we really just stick to a process of overindexing and leveraging best in class resources in order to help pivot our potential and maximize on every opportunity"

You expect me to beleive every person is walking out with $150? Or maybe, just maybe YOU ONLY HELP the people you can shark to $150!? Why is it that every surrounding store around you is at $86MAX!? Maybe you're just doing what shady a– indirect stores do and hold phones hostage. "Oh I only have the bundle version of this phone. So you can either get the new phone with a tablet and $200 in accessories or the phone with $300 in accessories, your choice." Or maybe you just follow the script to a T and if they aren't buying anything that can help your QoS you're just convincing the poor shmuck to ship the phones out to themselves in order to make yourself look better.

The level of effort or the traffic necessary to get to a 1.3 isn't worth the headache if hitting a 1.0 sales and a 1.5 is that much easier?

SM here. My store maxed out its quota above the 130% mark for phone add and sales bucket and a 1.25 RIS. Our commission check was $2000. Let that sink in.....

100%!! Verizon once was employee and customer centric, now I don’t know what to even call the company. Retail is banging their heads against the wall and doctoring numbers, all while experiencing abuse from customers, with minimal guidance/assistance/contribution from DMs and up, not to mention the poor job HR does. This is why people join unions.
