Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Are things still the same?

I left right before the pandemic over a year ago for a better opportunity. Since then I visit here to see how things are going and if anything has changed. Morale was horrible back then and there was so much bureaucracy coupled with politics. Due to the lack of transparency I was always fearful for my job and it caused me to look for other avenues. Have things remained the same since I left or has it gotten worse?

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse...this s—s and I have way overstayed my time. VPcalled me up to thank me for my service because I got a good review. They were forced to give me a good review because I got the numbers. The only reason I got the numbers is because of the white male I replaced when he was RIFd. Anyway the VP calls me up to say thank you and then has the audacity to say “I need people who don’t look like me in my leadership pipeline. Not white and male.” I don’t like discrimination, including discrimination against white males. The Honeywell social agenda is more important to them than real profits. All that matters is a social story they can tell on advertisements. Not sure how long that will bolster their stock prices. I see the waste in Human Resources and in material if they could just pull their heads out. Not happening though.

Things have been getting worse every single year. Just when you think you hit the bottom, next year will say hold my beer.

It is not different...

People still here are only for the paycheck and/or will brown nose the hell out of themselves for glory.

Never ever seen a work culture like this

@OP is JE just checking to see that it really wasnt his fault... sorry... it was your fault and it will take a decade and probably another couple of mission failures before engineering recovers.

Attrition and dissatisfaction is so high on a daily basis that it is not even funny. Just wondering how long the sinking Titanic can stay afloat...

Thirtieth verse same as the first.
The VP names have changed and HR has waged war threatening any manager who mentions the word EEI in writing ...but everything is the same.

Managers still metric the amount of direct charge labor by name in rank order. ( NOT EEI .. no EEI here.. just make sure you charge at least 40 direct hours before mandatory training, staff meetings, skip levels, and unfounded initiative work). They still can’t figure out why they aren’t hitting direct charge labor goals when they have 75 percent of the slots staffed.

Old people retire in droves every month. New hires are appearing but after a year of work they are still asking directions to the bathroom and sometimes are seen to raise their hand before speaking in zoom meetings.

More sites are closing. Other sites are filling up and crashing.

Not much has changed
