Verizon’s customer service has gone downhill significantly. They use third party vendors in the US such as Alorica, Conduet, and Xerox. They also use vendors in the Philippines where English is there secondary language who literally have roosters croaking in the background. Vendor reps have an average tenure of 100 days. Vendors receive piss poor training with a hostile work environment which leads to a revolving door. Therefore they have absolutely no idea how to do their job. This impacts the customer experience. Customers get cold transferred from department to department. Customers get hung up on. Customers get told incorrect information. Customers get told blatant lies. This is the worst customer service has ever been and it is getting worse. Our CEO has put customers at the bottom of the priority list. The top priority is cutting costs by outsourcing. There is zero accountability by vendors. They can do whatever they want. There is no feedback system. Their managers encourage them to dump the call on another department of the call goes over 7 minutes. Bottom line is Verizon no longer cares about customer service.

No one in care is “on their A game”. I’ve dealt with some B- before but never an A.
I listen to calls from both internal and SPC and you’d be surprised how much better the SPC calls are. Internal reps are LAZY! They know how much it takes to get fired so they do the bare minimum.
SPC reps can get canned on a moments notice so they are on their A game.
Hey, I have roosters in the back yard and I'm in the US!
It is embarrassing. Can't understand what they are saying and when you can they are totally incompetent. I am always polite because I know they are doing their best . "Ok I am going to hang up now" so I can call back in and hopefully get someone here in the states that knows what they are doing. Usually third time is a charm!
Sinking ship!
Seeing the same thing in IT with offshore resources. Losing $$ by not being able to complete more projects due to the lower quality, strain on hours availability, and re work needed.
Stock Holders > everything
Yeah there is a serious problem.
