20 years ago when I was working there, store managers cared about their people and helped develop you and your career with the company. Those days are long gone. Manage through fear and intimidation seems to be the MO of what the company wants these days in a store manager, along with a willingness to move around from store to store at the company’s request. Most of what few good store managers Lowe’s had at one time have either retired or been pushed out. All they care about now are hitting plan and bonusing, everything else be d**.
