Who hired these kids??? I got off a call and apparently the training was “you don’t need to know the product. Just call. It’s a numbers game”. These recruiters and sales trainers are id–ts perpetuating the problem. They all fake calls. They come to work, spam people, hope to get lucky, and get paid. I have a friend who is a director of sales and he compares oracle to a car warranty scam. Apparently he gets hit up all day and when he does answer they hang up or say something so off base he just hangs up. Why is oracle hiring so many unskilled kids who don’t know what they are doing?

Just out of curiousity, why do you still work at Oracle? Once upon a time I was proud to be an Oracle employee. Then, after a few painful, frustrating years of half-baked attempts to enter the cloud market I decided it was to leave. IMO, once you are no longer feel pride in your employer it's time to move on.

Oracle cloud is so sophisticated it no longer requires any intelligence to provision, configure, operate or sell. E.g., my grandmother can provision an enterprise integration between a couple of enterprise applications in a single click. Dev, test and prod - same thing.
There are no depths too low for Oracle to sink to! Sounds about normal to me.
A lot of college graduates are being hired in BDM roles. All over Linkedin
Did you join join the company recently lol?
They're all going to be replaced by bots sending out automated text messages to customers. No biggie.

You said it: it’s a numbers game. A swarm of mediocre sales droids instead of a tight team of technical sales professionals.
