More key holders, no additional pay?

A discussion about stores now requiring to have multiple key holders. What’s your thoughts?

If you want a job I would take the key

More key holders less managers is the obvious end game. Love my managers but would sacrifice one of them for one/two extra reps.

Unless your drinking the kool aide and trying to get a manager position why would you voluntarily want keys ?

Can you just say no? I've done it multiple times.

I've been a keyholder for about 3 years in multiple locations with no raise. That said, one of my SMs mentioned the idea of everybody in the store having keys. I don't think this is a good idea... no way to compartmentalize any problems with cash and/or inventory. Could be literally anybody in the store

Back in my day I was a keyholder before it was even a dedicated position...and it didn't have a pay increase.

Just got keyholder position back after transferring stores - still no pay increase.

It is what it is sadly.
