Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I don't need a raise

I need them to stop expecting me to do the job of somebody who earns more than I do for no extra compensation. Let me do my job, period. That'd be enough to make me happy.

If you are doing more than what you are scoped/paid to do, that is YOUR choice. You have the ability and responsibility to manage your own career. If you are too weak, afraid, or stupid to do so, that is your problem.

Wouldn't extra compensation translate to a raise?

Not the way it works. Do what you are told and deal with it. Too much complaining and not enough working is the main problem at Sam’s Club.

Exactly. I don't do more than what my job is, which means no more helping out the front end. They have so many MSS' at times and then there are the lazy Member Service Specialists people. They are lazy and stand around like they are supervisors. Sometimes there are five or six just standing around.

I’m a merchandiser. Been doing back room for over a year and a half now without the back room raise.
