Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

You can move on

People keep lamenting about how much they hate this place but they stay because all other banks are just as bad. People seem to be stuck on banks as the only option for them to walk away. But there is so much more out there! Your skills might be tailored for your current job but you'd be surprised to learn how many other jobs outside of the banking sector they can be applied to. You should start looking outside of your comfort zone - I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised by what might show up.

I suspect that despite how bad things have been, people still don't want to give up AIP and RSUs.

Are you willing to take that kind of hit in compensation just to get out? Maybe if you're so stressed and not sleeping and are physically ill from working here that would make sense.

But as bad as things can be here, there is no guarantee you will find paradise somewhere else. In fact I know quite a few people who have left and regret it.

Looks like Scott Case, Ken Meyer and the rest of the Enterprise Technology leadership wrote this post. On the surface sincere but, in reality, full of baloney and completely insincere

What makes you think people aren't looking beyond banks? I've had interviews with several non banks.
