Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

HR?

I'm having a major issue with my manager . We got a new guy a few months ago. He was transferred from another department and I'm starting to see why. His management method is bullying that borders on harassment. I'd like to take this to HR, but I'm not sure what that'll accomplish. Considering that he is a transfer, something tells me that he was already in a similar situation and we were the solution they came up with. Should I risk it?

So here is the real answer. HR is always there to protect the employer not the employee. Unless you have great, well-documented proof that your manager is doing something that could create a lawsuit for Truist (e.g., clear s-xual harassment or obvious discrimination against a protected class), you will end up on the losing end of this situation.

$10 says he’s protected and has a contract or knows someone. On the other hand you could be a BB&T employe who was coddled for years and haven’t had a strong manager.
