Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Benefits

Anyone knows how long they let us keep our benefits before we’re cut off when we’re taking a severance package? Like the 50% off our mobile service? & our healthcare?

I quit in 2018 as a GM and it took them 3 months to turn my discount off. My benefits ended at the end of the month of when I quit. Whenever we laid off we an employee we gave them benefits until the end of the month and a package to go over getting your own unemployment health care coverage by mail.

The plan discount only lasts a few weeks after you’re off the books.

Severance is usually 2 weeks pay per year and benefits normally last the same... so say 7 yrs with company, severance package is 14 weeks and that is also how long benefits remain active

It will be in the severance paperwork. Depends on how long you have been with Verlieson.
