@1xed+191Vo9Rg and I’m a nurse and former VZ employee severed 4 years ago. My partner still works there and half his team was let go. So don’t talk to me about “front line.” I had to go to the non Verizon stores because the Corp doors were closed on 3 different occasions. Very nice people and willing to assist.

@1xed+191Vo9Rg i wasn’t referring to California or NY. I know those locations never reopened bc they probably weren’t allowed too or their employees just wouldn’t return. The south is open for business. In fact most red states are.

A few years ago when stores changed to indirect. Reps got severance and many stayed in the same store just not with Verizon. This is not the same.

@1pqa+191Vo9Rg Apple is STILL closed in many places. If you want to be a hero go work in retail on the front line....then complain about how weak our company is

No business in their right mind what’s to be in a blue city... people. Ya’lls heads are screwed on wrong if you think they do. You get looted and no one gets punished. You get shut down for covid and don’t get help. Hell...the politicians invite the looting because stealing TVs is a “social movement”. A lot of people in the company were severed today in retail and indirect and it had a lot to do with this companies inability to figure out how to staff stores during covid. The agent indirect stores figured it out. Everyone had to pay the price for retail being pussies and not showing up to work. How can the gas stations, grocery stores, Best Buy’s, ace hardwares, apples stay open all last year, but Verizon can’t even keep a retail store open for half the year because of covid.

Okay East Texas. Calm down. Your district (my former district) was absolutely effected. You’re most likely and SS who has no clue. The reason you didn’t see an “impact” is East Texas was in the first round of divestitures two years ago when we lost 4/8 stores. Also, there was a GM opening which moved GMs around instead of a cut. So chill out, sit down, and go back to “not” selling and being complacent a–holes that is known for the East Texas district. You’re probably even from Tyler Loop—shocked!

Well good for you. 2 stores in Dallas just got told today that we got to pack our sh–. Both brand new builds & less than 3 years old. So I’m glad you weren’t effected ;) this is real... it’s only a matter of time before there isn’t retail anymore and it’s all indirect locations at this point and I’ve been in retail with verizon for 10 years now.

I do feel for anyone that has lost their job. I’m simply saying as I sit here no one in my store/district will acknowledge any changes.

Oh good we are all safe because EAST TEXAS says this is "their truth". Therefore, I will selfishly post something stating NOTHING CHANGED because if no one is impacted in EAST TEXAS, then everyone is safe.

Your an idoit. Any official announcements happen at 2pm EST. I'm sure your texas store will be just fine.. ask all the people in texas who lost stores a few years ago.

Great to hear your store is the center of Verizon.
