Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Has anybody's situation improve?

Can anybody say their situation has improved since the merger? I'm genuinely curious. I see so many negative comments here and very few positive ones. Personally, my situation has remained exactly the same. The same old job insecurity and cranky manager but other than that perfectly ordinary.

Same job, but they have laid off so many people in my area we are now doing 3 peoples jobs. They just keep making us do more and more and then slowly selling off and laying off. It only a matter of time before my job is gone as well.

It could be worse... You could have been laid off during the "month of Happiness" like I was. Then, I was told I had continue coming in to the office for 2 months to get severance. Such BS. They finally cut me loose last December 2019. Several of us were known as "dead men walking".

Don’t leave until you find something and look actively for something. I was cut in August and still jobless.

Run away while you still can! It's a sinking ship!
Look for better opportunities than this...

My position has been pretty much the same since the merger. Some of the work has been a bit more annoying as we’ve had to deal with the competing cultures and some of it has felt a little like going backwards.

But I can’t say that I’ve had it as bad as others.
