I've spent 11 years here and I quit on my own in November. I've found a job suppoting IT in a smaller company, I took about 10% pay cut but my level of stress is abou 90% lower. Good luck to all of you...

Laid off last April, 5 months unemployed, got job making more $ and better suited work for me. There is life after xerox/hcl ppl!
I also worked there for 11 yrs and accepted poor raises (no raises a few yrs) and an ever increasing work load, stress and the biggest A whole boss ever...row man ow ski. Left 1 1/2 yrs ago for less money and have been less stressed and feel more valued than I ever was at Xrx.
Years ago I was briefly at Xerox during the dear, dead EDS outsourcing days and it was a cluster-f**k of the highest order. Anybody in IT get out of this place - always rancid.
Well, I'm leaving too! Going back to the growing SAAS field where I can grow, make more money and have a future. Why did I hold myself to that miserable prison?
Xerox still outsourcing ?
I left last year on my own (before covid) and made over 20K and 90% less stress. Getting out of that sh–ty a– company was the best move I’ve ever made. Waiting around for a pink slip or being miserable in your job without taking any action is unforgivable.
I did the same. Left on my own. Took a 10% pay cut but will come out ahead with benefits and 401k match. And I’m doing less work This was the right choice. It’s too stressful there now.
Good to hear. Plus your reduced pay may be made up in no time with raises and lower cost benefits and 401k match if they offer it.
Congrats! You'll definitely be valued more and probably added at least 5 years to you life expectancy!
