Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Is R2B being transitioned or are they getting the cut?

Any solid information on what the deal will be for those in R2B? Heard they’re all either being transitioned to telesales for SMB or that there will be cuts, but haven’t any confirmation either way?

They need to do something, it’s not reasonable to stay how we are now. I was a good R2B rep, I exceeded quota and maintained good relationships with stores and customers and now I see no way to exceed quota, raise store morale, and find enough time to hit all the expectations upper leadership currently has on us. I loved my job, worked whenever they needed me and now I’m miserable and stuck in this strange in between space they shoved us in- not quite retail and not quite business channel with the worst pay

Lol you people that say it's a useless channel and they don't do anything crack me up. Don't say to cut an entire channel because you had a bad experience. We now have territories that support 1500+ accounts. I have meeting after meeting all day. Many of us already have telesales shifts as well.Whatever the stores don't produce we have to find elsewhere. Retail has no desire to sell smb at all so I'm sorry I can't get on board with the hard work your talking about. As for a pay cut? We are all making a sliver of what we use to. I put up 80 adds in my own salescode this month and am barely making my at risk.

I hear that we will be partial inside b2b sales come q1. SMB had great potential but until retail employees are motivated by a spiff it will never get there. January 2020 SMB quotas almost doubled and this was called "the floor" where everyone now had similar quotas. Individual store historical smb sales and traffic was not taken into consideration when throwing the floor at us. It's been a lot of work to make a check since this happened and now retail has little $ value to find these opportunities. Covid guarantees were the only full checks I've made this year and I've always been know to exceed my quota. Half my team was offered severance or inside sales transition. Their target is 2300ish vs our 1200ish with less prospecting. I'd like to try this.

Quotas are unreasonable
Mileage is gone
Next step was BAM but if I havent hit quota in a year who would want to hire me?
We are also told that we are on-call 24/7 and that I can't get a second job because of this to help pay the bills.

Give retail spiffs for SMB lines sold if you want to fix the problem. If not, make us inside sales with a retail hotline for instore situations and submit leads to work in downtime between inbound calls.

It’s about time!!!!! R2B is useless, they don’t do anything for us. They push us to sell and they get paid from our hard work. We take a pay cut and they don’t. That’s BS!! R2B is a waste of the company’s money. And a waste of our time. Good luck trying to get them to help with a customer service issue. They get paid on the sale but don’t want to help the customer after the fact.

By second quarter R2B will be in telesales unless you’re in the area that doesn’t qualify for it.

If you can sell blue jeans for a couple months get out and look for a SaaS sales job.

It already is all Blue Jeans and OT is not going away. These people want 10 Blue Jeans and 15 OT per month consistently.

Pretty soon it will be blue jeans not OT, they’re shoving it in all B2b channels faces and forcing the reps to all sell it, terrible role, would not recommend/ pay is awful w insane requirements daily. Agree with bottom post, give us severance we’re over it

That’s one channel that I will never get. SS in retail dgaf if it’s business or consumer. They get paid for growth and sales bucket. Plus half of you guys in my area don’t want to work when leads come to you. We hear it all the time from people that you never call them to follow up plus you’re costing the company unnecessary complaints and credits for adding ghost lines with your previous OT deals. Wanna trim the fat? There’s a channel right there.
