Did FB change his mind on Remote employment?

Heard through the grapevine from a reputable source that the Fiserv office in Lake Mary will be closing and that employees will be able to work remotely indefinitely. Frank has always been adamant that you aren’t collaborative unless you are face to face. With covid, it seems that you proved him wrong. That’s a good thing.

Forget about the now multiple generations of younger, innovative talent that won't accept being shackled to an office and micromanaged by big brother software. The FB power trip won't change. And this new Fiserv is not too big to fail. Bank on that.

Yeah, if you are in a location that is slated to be shutdown. I would keep an eye out for a new opportunity. FB doesn't like WFH, and I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to cut pay if you are a remote worker or forces you to relocate. Look at what he did with the employee benefits program. Pay more as you make more with medical benefits. The ESPP stock discount is down from 15% to 5% and the 401K match is going to be reinstated at a lower rate going forward. Wake up Fiserv associates, in 2021 there is a high chance you could get the lotto ticket of no more employment to pay for the bonus checks to the Directors and VP's. They discriminate against 50+ or people that are at the high side of their pay grade. While you have leverage, start looking for a new opportunity as they have no loyalty to employee's. It was stated at several Town Halls, "It's Just Business" by MW and FB.

We were told in our local EU townhall today the powers-that-be are considering wfh in return for a paycut. But no details were given as no decision is made yet.

It sounds like I shouldn't count on having a job after COVID if i'm not near a larger office when we are asked to go back in 2021?

How accurate is this information about the Lake Mary office closing. Do you have a timeframe?

Small nuance, frank did say you could be remote permanently. He was noncommittal on the work part

No change of opinion by Fiserv leadership, working outside of an office will not be a permanent full time opportunity. Those currently displaced in FL, NY, NJ, NE etc will be allowed to work remotely until a new campus is acquired. Once the new offices are up and running, associates will be expected to commute to the new facility. The goal is to have one large office in strategic locations for greater collaboration among associates.

Yeah, I was wondering if they let people WFH, and the local office closes. Do you think he would do a d!ck move and say "Move" to the new office or here is your walking papers? What do you think the percentage of that happening would be?
