Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Hanzi-scheme

The act of incompetently managing a company to benefit few in leadership positions. Typically the instigators of such schemes add little value as they are not innovative by nature and only serve as a mouth piece to appease shareholders and media. These people are masters of deflection, never admitting or taking responsibility for their poor decisions. Instead their solution is layoffs and raising quotas in an attempt to finance their short comings. Often having no background in engineering or applied sciences they are not capable of understanding what it takes to meet the impossible targets they set. They will then report these numbers as projected/attained at a “mark to market” valuation and give themselves big bonuses. Once it’s all said and done just before the collapse, they will quietly step away to infect a new host.

Hm, I wonder what HR chud is clearing cache and refreshing to downvote this post. Either HR or Senior Management... I know you all have an aversion to truth, but damn, you’re determined, huh?

Hans is a blood-s—ing capitalistic pig who should have his wealth forcibly removed and spread between front-line workers. That’d be the most useful thing he’s done so far. What a joke.

And don’t even get me started on the self-righteous, know-it-all DMs who keep telling us to keep our heads down and work diligently, that this is the new normal, that we’re not allowed to feel upset or completely demoralized.

This company deserves to crash and burn, but we all know that only hurts the little guys like us.

Maybe his compensation should be based primarily on surveys since it's such a great idea.

The Hans playbook has been set. Next is a 1st Q 2021 bloodbath. He did the same at Ericson step by step, move by move. Whom ever at Verizon hired this clown is the person we should have questions for. He was almost locked up in Sweden. Google it

The DM’s and directors are on an old payout scale. While they just sit at home and literally contribute nothing they expect people in the stores to still care. The only thing they do is look at numbers that a 5th grader can easily understand. If they want results maybe they should complete RTO, mask up, and get off the couch. On second thought we actually do fine without them. They wouldn’t understand the touchless process, plans, promotions, or the POS.

life under lowell was good. However he's a share holder so he's aware of all this.

Exactly. In B2B to here. I have seen and heard our targets for next year. All the KPIs are nearly doubled!!! We are already forcing to BJN and OT apps down customers throats and barely hitting this year’s targets and in most cases missing them because the outlandish expectations. So what do they do? Double them!!! OT is more expensive than most VOIP providers and getting them to switch from traditional cable barely saves a few bucks but we lose them if their internet is bundled. VZ formula is to preach integrity wink wink by driving and pressuring ridiculous results forcing people to take drastic measures.

Hans main job is to make the shareholders money. That comes above all else. Keep the company profitable and make the shareholders money. Nothing else matter how he and they get there. That's just the nature of the game. They will just blow smoke up the bum and corp back speak. I would almost doubt he knows nothing about what really happens on many levels of the company. This place is so structured in the classic corp structure. It's a giant game of telephone, like you played as a kid. The message is just as silly at the end.
