RE: Dr. Jay. Are you serious? Best ever? No. Mark Leary was the real deal.

Mentioning xerox in the same breath as Microsoft, Apple, “etc” instantly destroys your credibility. Anything said after is static and wingdings.

This would not have happened if Dr. Jay was still CISO. She was the best security leader eva.

Everyone Chill.. this post seems to have come from a negative Xeroid. Just like you see from Microsoft, Apple and other technology companies; this is a patch being announced. Again, just like Microsoft, Apple and so forth; Xerox has issued the warning and the fix.
These vulnerabilities are discovered via proactive scanning g and working closely with security partners.
I see this as Xerox responding as any other technology company of potential vulnerabilities.
If you want to promote this in a negative way; be prepared for others to believe you are naive in the way technology security works today.
If you’re not naive; be prepared for others to consider you to be negative uninformed person of the inner workings of the company.

All Xerox offerings with Sun/Solaris os have security issues. Over the years we have found giga-bytes of non customer, non xerox data on systems. All you need is a network connection and anyone can use the system as a data hub or even a server.
Oh, and any / all customer print data is able to be accessed post print with minimal effort. So don't think xerox or others can't get to your private customer data. Took us about 15 minutes to get it from an installed system.
