I agree with the break up and sell strategy being one of the potential strategies on the table. I say that for two reasons:

  1. Our CEO is nearly in hiding. And when he does appear, he is evasive on all important topics. As someone else said, sometimes what you don’t say is more important than what you do say.
  1. I have never seen a CEO who couldn’t care less about the engagement/morale of his employees. Employee morale is proven to have a direct link to productivity. He can’t even fake it. I don’t think he’s a complete id–t so that either means he knows he’s a short-timer or the company is a short-timer.
