I heard, overseas workers are not productive, that is why they are moving only operational jobs there.

@1brl+18mrF9w4, sorry I have become reliant on the tech secretaries running the spell checker! They fix all the misspellings, I have been spoiled!
@1uzf+18mrF9w
Of course it was intentional. The American Wells worker spells it as “mortgates”. In general our Wells coworkers largely seem to be completely unable to even spell correctly, let alone post grammatically correct sentences. This is always a sign of a dumbed down workplace.

Your comment made me chuckle @1hbc+18mrF9w4
"If offshore can spell they are processing mortgages, they are ahead of the mortgates processors here."
Didn't know if your misspelled use of "mortgates" was intentional or not :)
If offshore can spell they are processing mortgages, they are ahead of the mortgates processors here.
Our overnight support is there. Early on turnover was high, but that has stabilized to be near 0 over the last 2-3 years. They do a great job, we have handoffs in the early afternoon and early evening to transition work from team to team. It was rough early, not gonna lie. But now it’s real smooth and i am pretty happy not working evenings/weekends anymore.
@kmc+18mrF9w4 what you're talking about is 'compliance'. A guide is developed. The 'risk' professional compares what it should be from the guide to what the item is, and checks a box to say it matches or does not check a box and says it is not in compliance. The problem is that something may be technically 'not compliant' by the letter, but is actually more secure. The Indians will only play the matching game. No critical thinking is required.
@1pc oh, so true.
I would say 70+% of the risk "professionals" in this "Bank" don't have ANY qualifications.
Just take a good hard look at Corporate Risk.
You have to stop thinking about this as WF doesn't not it's not doing the right thing. They will tell the regulators that they've hired 10,000 more risk professionals (that's debatable, as certifications in security/risk aren't even a requirement for india jobs) to identify and fix issues with WF's processes. WF looks at everything as a compliance checklist. What can we do, in the cheapest way, to check this box? They do not care about the quality, professionalism, or even ability of those people that fill those roles. They are simply checking a box. The problems will have to be unraveled by a CEO two appointments from now.
for the people that have good experirences- what type of work is being handled? I've worked with India/Philipines for WFA and Corporate Risk and have yet to see anything handled well there. Just a looks good on paper for the most part. Turnover is always high, which ends up costing more than expected and they expect more holidays, cultural activities and team building than I've ever seen done here in the US. There's also not a lot of "free thinkers" and majority of the work done over there is highly routine, follow steps 1-8 activities and can't handle the items that fall outside of those boundaries.
If they are indeed processing mortgages there, that is treason pure and simple. Not that moving jobs there isn’t anyway.
I wouldn't say this is a hard fact. Sure, some aren't efficient but some that are on a team I work with are really quite excellent.
To be honest, better than the US workers that they replaced.

They aren't efficient at all. It sounds like a good idea on paper but I haven't seen one company that is happy with their choices when they have moved core functions overseas.
