Today was not location based, but it was pretty Tech heavy. A couple groups in Tech got hit harder than others and that could wind up also meaning that a couple locations got hit pretty hard. My larger group in Tech lost multiple people.
Don’t know the breakdown, but I know at least one each from Charlotte, Des Moines, Minneapolis and Charlotte, so that would indicate it wasn’t location based.

those ZZ's are lucky; I have lost all my tech skills here, doing secretary work. I have been studying hard and finally landed a job, will resign asap
Repeating this for the people who still don’t get it. ZZ’s don’t happen the moment you’re laid off. Searching the GAL, or anywhere else for that matter, will only show you fully completed terminations who’s accounts have been disabled. And even that can take days or weeks to happen because an account can be disabled without being renamed. So you’re two months late if you’re looking at ZZ’s.
Some of the leaders laid off supported the Call Centers tech staff.

I checked the zz's and was suprised to find a bunch of people I had worked with who got let go.
Without getting too deep into the numbers, they were all managers. 75% of them were men, 25% were women, and all were caucasion. All of them had been around for many years, and several had been managers for over 20 years
One person was a former senior engineer who had recently become an Associate Manager.
Hey everyone, there's more people who were let go than we know.
In IT, our managers have made it clear during every layoff that it's up to the person who was let go to tell us or not.
So sometimes a teammember will be let go, but won't tell us for 30 or 60 days.
I've posted about two managers, one a SVP, that were let go yesteraday already, and my manager said yesterday there were others who we are not being told about.

I dont know how people can work in a company like this. Really not just layoffs, the middle management is beyond toxic, and dont care if a few people run into health issues that area irreversable.

Is it OPs? What metros are tech? People, it’s in TECHNOLOGY. Tech is EVERYWHERE.
90% of people simply don’t have the smarts, let alone the sheer focus and concentration to build out software or even just network and application infrastructure. But at least you ought to be aware of these hero's . 60 hour weeks minimum, no overtime and no appreciation.
